Artists' Satin Varnish

Due to the nature of these products, they cannot be shipped as overnight or 2-day air shipments and will be shipped using ground shipping.A quality UV resistant artists' satin varnish that maintains painting for longer. Sealing the microscopic pores on the oil paint film provides resistance to dirt and grease as well as balances out the surface sheen. Removable, for the purpose of re-varnishing, use a solvent such as Artists' White Spirit or Distilled Turpentine. Quick drying. Non-yellowing, it does not bloom or crack. Do not use until painting is completely dry (6-12 months). Do not use as a medium. Shake well before use.

Artist seeking clean-up instructions

"Hello Winsor & Newton. I am writing in the hope of getting a response to this e-mail. I am using your W&N Artists Satin Varnish. I like the product, it dries clear, it stinks to high heaven and I varnish outside. I am varnishing acrylic paintings. The label says oil colors but the instructions indicate for use with acrylic paints. What is missing is instructions for clean up. I am using Mineral Spirts I purchased at Home Depot to clean the brush and its not working. I had to discard the brush. It got all gummy and sticky. The container I used cleaned up good enough, I believe because it is plastic. Your web site, I could not find clean-up instructions. I dislike discarding a perfectly good brush because of lack of clean-up instructions. Send response please."
