A pale viscous oil that slows drying while imparting a tough, smooth enamel finish with no brush marks and excellent levelling. It can be used for glazing and as an alternative to Refined Linseed Oil. Linseed Stand Oil makes oil colour "fatter".

It was not as liquid

"It was not as liquid as I had hoped. I was wanting something less viscous, to thin my oil paints as I am painting. This not a fault of Winsor Newton - I obviously did not know what I was ordering, nor how to get the kind I want. Meanwhile, I will keep trying to use it (I hate to waste!) and will try again. And OBTW, I happen to love your paints, and have used them exclusively through the years. Thank you for always providing quality products!"
