Series 7 Kolinsky Sable Brushes are made from only the finest Kolinsky Sable hair in rust-proof, seamless nickel plated ferrules with black polished handles. The standards of quality for this brush were set in 1866, when Her Majesty Queen Victoria gave orders that Winsor & Newton should produce the very finest water colour brushes in her favourite size, the No.7. To create her portraits of family members and beautiful landscapes, Victoria would settle for only the very finest tools and found ours to be unsurpassed in quality. To that end, she awarded Winsor & Newton the Royal Warrant in 1841 – something we still hold to this day.

Not sure if it was

"Not sure if it was a mistake on my end or this brush, purchased lookong for a kolinsky sable brush for miniature painting, I saw the miniature sable brush and thought it was what I was looking for. In hindsight I should have gotten a normal sized one with a bigger belly as this brush cant hold a fine tip to save its life, after 2 strokes it ends up like shown in the picture. Very unfortunate considering how expensive it was, I am unable to use it for what I was hoping too, its used so not sure If I can even get a refund at this point either."

Painting Waaaghammers!

"After recently rekindling my child hood hobby of painting Warhammer mini’s I looked into which brushes were best. The Windsor Newton Series 7 came up regularly! They are excellent brushes with sharp tips for all those fine details. These miniature ones have shorter tips to really get into small spaces. Have used them for a couple of weeks now and they have kept their shape well. I use brush soap after every session to keep them in good condition. In my opinion its worth splashing out on these brushes, as even if you aren’t an expert mini painter having a good brush will be a huge help to get a better finish. A bad workman blames his tools they say. I cant blame the brushes now for a bad paint job! Will be ordering a size 0 and size 1 of the standard series 7 to compliment the miniature ones for base coating."

Lovely brushes, but the price

"Lovely brushes, but the price was kind of high for what I received. The larger of the two brushes was mildly frayed upon being taken out. My partner and I use them for painting miniatures, and I got these for him for Christmas. He didn't want to return them, but I was mildly displeased considering I've previously bought much, much cheaper sable brushes for better quality. The smaller brush was perfect and high quality."
