Why wasn't I always using this?

"As a fairly new watercolor painter, I had never used a watercolor block. I had always used single sheets on easels and now, I can't figure out why! With this block, I don't need an easel, the paper stays nice and flat, and there is no curling of edges. Also, I now understand why quality paper is important. I didn't experience the fiber piling and pulling like it does on other paper. Not even after multiple layers of colors. The slightly rough texture absorbed the colors well. Mostly, I loved that even after repeated sketching and erasing, the paper didn't pill up. I loved painting on this."

Good for painting

"I am really impressed with Winsor & Newton professional watercolour paper block-Cold press. The sheets are made of 100% cotton and has a nice texture. It looks well made and of professional quality. The sheet does hold water but flats out once dry. I like how the painting colors look beautiful on this paper and enhance the look of the painting. All in all, a good watercolour paper block for painting."

VERY nice paper!

"This is very thick, very nice paper for watercolor painting. It's got the perfect texture for getting that classic watercolor look. It reminds me of the texture of mulberry paper, but much thicker (if that helps anyone visualize the texture I'm talking about. ) It does start breaking down if you focus too much in one spot, but it takes quite a bit of going over and over and over one spot before you'll really notice any damage."

Really good!

"The cold press allows for some wonderful washes along with texture and detail work. Colors are vibrant. I love the process of watching the washes flow on this quality paper. Worth the cost. Highly recommend!"

Quality watercolor paper block

"There was care and consideration when they created this paper block for those who desire to craft quality watercolor painting results. Both dry brush and wet canvas methods resulted in anticipated results. Very happy with this product."

Perfect for on the go

"I enjoyed the size and texture and quality of this product. The wax seal presents bleeding and the color never leaks through due to the thickness of the paper."

Amandeee (5/5)

Excellent quality

"Paper has an excellent quality all around- great weight, absorbancy and texture. Doesn't curl up when wet either. Works well for layering and doesn't yellow in the sun."

Great Paper

"This is some of the finest paper I've ever used. As an amateur artist I usually don't use paper of very good quality. I think my mind is made up to stick with the good stuff."
