Making Acrylic Sheets

Acrylic paint can be used to create sheets of colour that can be cut and applied to the surface of an acrylic painting. This Masterclass shows how to make these sheets using paint and a medium. After mixing the colour you like, or taking one straight from the tube, paint a layer onto a smooth surface such as poly-plastic or a tear off palette. You can use multiple colours, or a solid, and the shapes can be hard edged or organic. Once dry, they can be peeled up, layered, shaped and cut as you wish and added to the surface of a painting or used in a collage.
