Creating 3D Spheres with Fineliners

Working with Fineliners, this masterclass shows how to create dimensional spheres using four very different techniques. Keeping a consistent light source in mind, a sphere is created with a 3-D effect using only horizontal lines in different size nibs and then again using cross-hatching, another traditional way of achieving the same effect. Next, short squiggly lines in small wavy motions are used and, finally, stippling with tiny dots in varying nib sizes. These Fineliners use non-fading water-resistant pigments and the ink flow is very dense and consistent, which allows you to make the variety of marks needed for this sort of work.
