The opening of the new gallery at Winsor & Newton
3rd February 2012 sees the opening of The Gallery, an exciting new artists’ space, at Winsor & Newton’s new head office, at the Studio Building, Evesham Street, London W11. Complemented by an Artists’ Studio and workshop area, at the same location, The Gallery provides a space for artistic expression and stimulating interaction.

The Collective Art Tank: Working with Art Communities
The Collective Art Tank is the result of a unique collaboration between Winsor & Newton and the artist, gallery owner and graphic designer John Viggiano. Its goal is to support artists in the growing arts community of Asbury Park, New Jersey, USA by offering affordable studio space, samples of art materials and opportunties to work with Winsor & Newton in focus groups and in testing new materials.

Featured Art School: The Slade School of Fine Art
The Slade School of Fine Art is one of the world's leading art schools. Based in London, England, it is a department of the University College London (UCL). Established in 1871 its distinguished alumni include Sir Stanley Spencer, Lucien Freud (lecturer), Richard Hamilton and Craigie Aitchinson.

West Africa 2010: A painting journey by George Butler
George Butler is a freelance illustrator and location artist based in London. At the beginning of this year, George embarked on an extraordinary trip around West Africa, drawing the people and situations he encountered. George's 'sketch blog' was published by The Times Online as he travelled. He has also written a short article for Winsor & Newton outlining his personal and artistic experiences during his amazing journey.
