À propos Sara Mozafari
Sara Mozafari was born in 1981 in Tehran, Iran. She grew up during one of the darkest decades of Iranian history after 1979 revolution. Not only because of the dark shadow of eight-year war between Iran and Iraq, but also because of the new regime's oppression and pressure on journalists and dissidents, social and political activists, religious and ethnic minorities, and women. All these had a direct impact on her family which forced them to leave their homeland and immigrate to Canada. Her passion to art conducted her to start studying fine arts studio at Centennial College in 2010. She was honored to receive two Centennial College's Dean Award. Now she is continuing her education at John H Daniels Faculty of Architecture, Landscape, and Design at University of Toronto working towards a double major in Architectural Studies and Visual Studies and a minor in Art History. Sara's art works are her response to Iranian cultural and political issues and living in her new home, Canada. Persian poetry and literature also have significant roles in her art pieces. She believes her mind and heart still have deep roots in Iran and she cannot avoid her background's footprints in her art works.
