A Blog by Glyn Macey

Glyn MaceyCornish artist Glyn has just started his 9 month fundraising trip around the English Coast to raise money for the RNLI.  Following the great success of his previous fundraising project, Glyn will be producing 180 paintings from around the English coastline which will be auctioned on Ebay over a 9 month period, starting on Tuesday 1 July 2008. The paintings will cover an area including the Lancashire and Cumbria coastlines and Northumberland all the way down the coast to Cornwall.  We are very excited to have Glyn blogging for us during his travels and you can read all about his experiences here

Lyme Regis, Seaton & Beer

LYME REGIS -

Freezing but beautiful, 7 in the morning, late October.

The air takes your breath away, the light looks as though it has a Sienna filter on it.

Still and calm, except for the fishermen arriving for the day.

SEATON and BEER -

Glorious South Devon sun - warming up.

Seaton is a pleasant town with a  small marina and a few fishing boats at the entrance to the river Axe.

Gave an impromptu painting demo on the beach at Seaton.
The van attracts so many people, who all want to know what I'm painting and how.

Beer is very pretty with a great mix of architecture.

The fishing boats pulled up on the beach look almost as if they are there more for the tourists amusement than for fishing.

Not the case though as you can find the freshest locally caught fish being sold in the huts at the top of the beach.
