A Blog by Glyn Macey
Cornish artist Glyn has just started his 9 month fundraising trip around the English Coast to raise money for the RNLI. Following the great success of his previous fundraising project, Glyn will be producing 180 paintings from around the English coastline which will be auctioned on Ebay over a 9 month period, starting on Tuesday 1 July 2008. The paintings will cover an area including the Lancashire and Cumbria coastlines and Northumberland all the way down the coast to Cornwall. We are very excited to have Glyn blogging for us during his travels and you can read all about his experiences here

Bideford

I love the bridge at Bideford, but its so long that its difficult to fit into one painting.
Instead I choose to use part of it as a backdrop to the fishing boats and tugs moored along the quayside. A drizzly day forces me to use more subdued colours and I wash a pale grey over the bridge when finished to knock it back even further.
