About Rob Kinsey
Rob Kinsey is a British Acrylic artist who specializes in the niche market of Motorcycle paintings. Rob's style is realistic with impressionistic qualities and he is inspired to create and capture the movement and action in his paintings, to make the viewer feel they are there trackside. Rob is inspired and focussed to become the world's leading motorcycle artist.
Rob Kinsey trained as a Technical Illustrator at Blackpool College in the 70's and started his career working for Manchester studios. Rob then moved into sales for Frisk products and onto various sales roles in the bicycle and motorcycle industry. Rob also ran my own video and travel company.
Rob had a desire to return to art and took the brave step to launch Rob Kinsey Art, combining his passion for motorcycles and art. Rob currently works mainly on private commissions with clients such as Honda, KTM, Youthstream and many collectors in the USA.
In 2007 Rob was proudly named 'Artist of the year' by the US magazine RacerX and he has held exhibitions in Maryland, West Virginia and Donington Park. One of Rob's highlights during his career was an invitation to present a painting at the Belgian Embassy in Washington DC.
Rob Kinsey's Work
Rob's style is realistic with impressionistic qualities and he is inspired to create and capture the movement and action in his paintings, to make the viewer feel they are there trackside.
Rob loves to break loose with the pallet knives, building up 3D layers of paint, balanced with a fine attention to detail. Working in a niche market, for a discerning clientele, Rob's intimate knowledge of the sport shines through in his paintings. Rob is inspired and focussed to become the world's leading motorcycle artist.
Current projects include a commission for Honda Europe of Mika Ahola, World Enduro Champion.
Rob Kinsey uses Winsor & Newton because
I’m reassured by the quality that I have come to rely on, which enhances my work. Why struggle with inferior products that lack the consistency, quality and history of Winsor & Newton.
