Paul Crook's Work

"My recent work belongs to a tradition of urban landscape paintings that comments on our relationship with man-made environments. In the paintings strong and vivid colour is applied to explore some of the unsettling dramas of these everyday spaces.

Houses, petrol stations, exteriors and interiors of cars are images that we come across in our every day lives, the bright pinks and red are used to bring these paintings alive and adds another dimension, it gives the paintings energy, a warm intensity and they most definitely get a second look!"
