About Mia Jarnsjö
Mia Jarnsjö is an Acrylic artist from Sweden and has been a full-time professional artist since 1978 with her work often being displayed and discussed in a number of Graphic Art editions and publications.
Mia commenced her career by attending several art-schools and courses obtaining 7 scholarships, state, provincial and local along the way. Mia's CV now includes an impressive 115 art exhibitions, single and panel-evaluated in Sweden and abroad, as well as 5 Commissioned Art and Adornments in Sweden. She is also a member of KRO (The Organisation of Swedish Artists) and 5 other national organisations.
Mia Jarnsjö's Work
Mia uses Galeria when using acrylics: "Colour and form carry the feeling and expression of my works" and finds inspiration from the nature around her, personal travel experiences and the human body. Mia describes her style as "somewhere in between the realistic and abstract world".
Mia's work is on public display currently at The Modern Art Museum, Stockholm, National Museum, Stockholm and the British Museum, London among others.
