Artists' Oil Colour
About Jolie Guillebeau
Before I started painting seriously, I worked in West Africa for four years. I encountered a lot of pain and suffering, but also found much to be grateful for. Working overseas helped me to re-write my own story and taught me to look for happiness in details. Hopefully, I convey that in my paintings, too.
Jolie Guillebeau's Work
I tell stories with paint. I believe every story matters. Nostalgia is a big part of why I paint. I'm really motivated by finding joy in small things and searching for happy memories through stories. I'm also a daily painter. I completed more than 200 paintings in 2010 which I post to my website every weekday.
Jolie Guillebeau uses Winsor & Newton because
I love the consistency of the paint. Blue Black is a staple in my palette, and it's uniquely a Winsor & Newton color. The Naples Yellow is perfect, and just the right texture.
