About Gill Robinson
Gill Robinson began her sucessful career studying Fine Art at the University of Exeter and Exeter College of Art & Design. She had an exciting upbringing being surrounded by art and artistic inspiration coming from a family of professional artists. Following in her peers footsteps Gill began her own professional career as an illustrator and painter.

Gill has already enjoyed success being a part of and showcasing her work at many Exhibitions including: ROI at Mall Galleries, London; RSMA at Mall Galleries, London; RWS 21st century watercolour exhibitions at Bankside Gallery, London; RCA Secret exhibitions at Gulbenkian Galleries, London; Southampton City Art Gallery; St. Barbe Museum and Art Gallery, Lymington.

Gill's Solo exhibitions include: 'Clay Country: Landscapes of Cornwall's Clay Quarries' at Wheal Martyn Museum, St Austell, Cornwall; 'Eden Stell Guitar Duo: Theme and Variations' at West Dean College, Sussex for International Guitar Festival; 'Mind's Eye' at Standrin Art & Design, Winchester.

Gill Robinson's Work

Gill works in a wide variety of media including Artists' Oil Colour, Artists' Water Colour, Designers' Gouache, Artists' Acrylic Colour and Black Indian ink, exploring largely landscape and seascape. Gill is very much inspired by a passionate attachment to the coastal landscape in which she grew up and is very much apparent in her work. Also, being a keen guitarist, Gill is drawn to music and musical performance as a constant and powerful source of imagery in her work, seeking to discover visual equivalents, metaphors for the deep response music evokes.

You can see Gill's most recent work at her forthcoming solo exhibitions: 'Cornwall Landscape and Coast' at Cumberland Lodge, Windsor and 'Colour Notes' exhibition - paintings inspired by music and musical performance at Highcliffe Castle, Dorset.

Gill Robinson uses Winsor & Newton because
the "consistent excellent quality of the materials and their infallible reliability in handling is of paramount importance when working professionally - added to which, the oils are superb, the watercolours have glorious colour saturation, the gouaches packed with pigment and punch and the acrylics have a satisfying rich palette - they are just a joy to work with."
