About Andrew Evans
Andrew lives and works in the Towy valley, West Wales and is a self taught artist who has now been painting professionally for the past nine years. Before deciding to follow his passion Andrew worked for 20 years in the construction industry, driving plant.

Andrew attended a private viewing at a group exhibition which included some of the UK's top wildlife artists in Cheltenham in 1994 and it was this event which really gave Andrew the inspiration and desire to start painting.

Since turning professional Andrew has successfully built up a large International following and is enjoying the reality of exhibiting both here in the UK and has galleries and collectors in the USA also.

Andrew shares his passion for painting by offering private tuition sessions in his Studio and also over the last six or seven years has consistently demonstrated to Art clubs and societies around the South Wales area. He is also a resident artist for the Black Palace International club in London and has produced commissioned pieces for them in association with Aston Martin and Sunseeker luxury yachts.

Andrew has completed many private and public commissions for organisations such as The National Trust, National Park, Dyfed Powys Police, Aberglasney Gardens and Black Palace International club Mayfair London.

In 2010 Andrew already plans a series of paintings that will be exhibited in Mayfair, London.

Andrew Evans's Work
Andrew's paintings are inspired and influenced very much by the landscapes and wildlife surrounding him in Wales with its particular atmospheric conditions. He also finds stimulation and follows many of the wildlife and landscape painters in depicting this on canvas.

Andrew Evans uses Winsor & Newton because
they are the best quality, and this is reflected in my work, quality, quality, quality. Since using the Griffin Fast Drying Oil Colour range I have been much more productive and now only use these in my painting, and work from 6"x4" up to 8ftx4ft which is my biggest fine art painting to date.
