About Edward Duarde
After 30 years as an accountant and financial executive I began my journey into the world of plein air painting. Surprisingly, my paintings began selling and people began wanting me to conduct workshops. Since then, my work has appeared in many corporate and private collections...but more importantly, painting relaxes and soothes me, even in the toughest of times.
Edward Duarde's Work
I have always found painting outdoors to be exhilarating and inspirational. As opposed to the constant light in the studio, Mother Nature continually revises the scene in front of you...perhaps illuminating an area in ways that can't be dreamed of in a studio...or perhaps creating intricate shadow patterns that lend drama, music and poetry to the composition. The process is fluid and dynamic. Each passing change in light or shadow opens a new portal to Nature's gallery of colors and light.
Edward Duarde uses Winsor & Newton because
The colors are bright and consistent and the texture is creamy and works well on canvas, linen and board. The tubes are sturdy and withstand the abuse I give them hiking through the woods to that perfect location.
