Adebanji AladeWinsor & Newton came to meet Adebanji Alade as the winner of two competitions we sponsored. The Artists' Magazine Summer Scenes Competition 2007 and the Royal Institute of Oil Painters Competition 2007.

His formal training includes the Yaba College of Technology (a renowned Nigerian Art College) and Heatherley's School of Fine Art in Chelsea. He won the John Walton Figurative Prize and the Heatherley Award for the Student with the most Outstanding Paintings in 2005.

He currently works from his studio in Chelsea, specialising in painting, illustration and photography. He also has a passion for sketching people on the tube and train. In all his works he tries to convey a feeling of life, movement and energy.
